What’s really more important? That’s the question that the author is really
asking. It’s all those distractions,
technology, and our desire for perfection that keep us from the people and
experiences that matter most to us. Mrs.
Stafford brings the case that we should put aside the things that, in the grand
scheme of things, do not really matter compared with those precious moments
that we are missing with our kids and family.
Moments we cannot get back.
I was very intrigued when I read the title of this
book. I gave up Facebook several years
ago and, to me, it is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. It was getting rid of something in my life
that was consuming more time than I felt it needed to. For me, it was giving it up completely. I believe it gives me more time with my
son. I enjoyed reading about all the
special moments that the author spent with her girls instead of being on her
phone or worrying about making her house messier. The read was a bit repetitive, but I believe
that is part of her getting her point across.
I appreciated that she put her mistakes out there and that she gave God glory
for opening her eyes to it. None of us
our without fault. She left me thinking
about how I could improve myself.
